So yesterday my boyfriend and I decided to try this place for the first time and definitely the last time. We ordered the bread and toasted ravioli for appetizers.. the bread was undercooked and just dripping in in grease, and the toasted ravioli tasted like it was frozen and put into a microwave.
Then our salad comes out, and I've never complained about a damn salad before at a restaurant but this was AWFUL. The lettuce just tasted like it's been sitting outside the fridge for days and it had barely any dressing at all.
After this we waited a WHOLE HOUR for our food.. Mind you other people around us getting their food, tables of 7 even that came in AFTER us. We sat there just about ready to get our check and leave until it finally shows up. And wow!!! What a huge disappointment!! My boyfriend and I both looked at each other and thought the same thing! "I'm paying $17.00 for a plate of that?!?" Literally maybe a SCOOP of spaghetti with a pathetic side of chicken is what they call chicken Parmesan. I ordered the crab ravioli and it was cold, looked like it was thrown together and sat for an hour. I'm sorry but if we're going to pay almost for a $100 meal for two, I want to get my moneys worth and this was something that I could have bought in the frozen section at Walmart if I wanted too.
The manager comes over and proceeds to tell us we got "pushed behind" and large banquet they were having that's why it took so long and she made it seem like that was our fault and or our problem? Also tells us that the food is already pre-portioned which basically means its portioned out and frozen.
All I can say is was a huge disappointment, we were looking forward to this and it was supposed to be my birthday celebration/date night and it just turned out to be a huge waste of time.
I will tell people to stay away unless they want to spend a fortune on freezer food. -

The interior is very "old country", all the rustic charm you could ever want, and I love it! However, that's where my love for this place starts and stops. Service is spotty, sometimes it's fast, other times it's slow.
The food is similar. I had the "Unlimited soup and Salad" ($7) for lunch. The salad was a disappointment, it seemed like it came out of a bag. The in-house dressings were great, but did not redeem that salad. The soup was also a disappointment, it was minestrone and it did not taste fresh. The bread that came with it was the same as the previous 2 items, it was a sad sourdough baguette. It didn't even look appetizing.
My second visit was slightly better, I had ordered the "Garlic Shrimp Fettuccine" (nearing $20), everything was wonderful except for the shrimp, they were extremely tough and rubbery.
When there are authentic Italian places nearby like Forno 301, or Pomo Pizzeria, you really can skip this place. I will reiterate that it really is beautiful so while I might not come back for Italian food, I will definitely come back for drinks at their bar. -

I've been coming here since I was 8 years old!. The food is what draws me in, but the service is always horrendously slow and lacks any attention to detail. Tonight they messed up my daughter's and my meal (they didn't give us the gluten free we requested) and had to remake it. By the time they brought it back my husband was mostly done with his dinner. (Super disappointing as it was our anniversary dinner.). Our drinks also did not come until after the appetizer was served. Drinks were also not refilled in any timely manner. My chicken dish tasted bad and I had to send back. We often get frustrated with the service here, but tonight was the topper.
Spaghetti factory you have good food, but you REALLY need a stronger management presence. In the 30+ years we've been coming here a manager has NEVER touched our table to ask how our food was, etc. (I used to be a restaurant manager, so this is super disappointing.). It often seems servers are in the corner chatting, etc and not watching their tables.
We will be looking for another restaurant for anniversary's, birthdays, and dinners. So disappointed that one of my favorite restaurants I've been coming to for almost 30 years is not of the quality it used to be. :(.
Please go back to the service and quality you used to be. -

I drive by The Old Spaghetti Factory almost daily and FINALLY stopped in last week. I received the free entree for my bday and decided that it was time. We walked in and were originally sat in the very full street car, which normally would've been great, but since it was so full, we decided to go over to the bar to eat. The bartender was really nice and everything ended up being great! We ordered the fried ravioli, the spaghetti plate with meat sauce and the brown butter and cheese, a spaghetti plate with only brown butter and cheese, a minestrone, a salad, and one scoop of rainbow sherbet. Everything was SO good and we will definitely be back for more of that cheesy spaghetti! Sooooo good!
